Summer Cooking to Cool down Inside and Out

In Ayurveda we say that the digestive system slows down in the heat of summer. We generally feel less hungry but crave sweet, juicy foods to satisfy us. Learn how to use fruits and vegetables, along with herbs and spices to complement the season. Ayurveda is a science of opposites so in hot, sticky summer we look to eat and do activities that help us to cool down, stay hydrated and feel satisfied.

In today’s class we will make summer recipes using ingredients to pacify excess heat - such as cucumbers, lime, coconut, pineapple, melon, cilantro, parsley, fennel and more.
